Summer Cleanse + FREE Gifts + The Start of the REST of (insert here) Life

THIS is IT . THIS is ME . THIS is You

I’m going to share something – it’s a little hard for me to share, because I’ve had some negative comments and lots of scepticism and I may even get some haters, but I don’t actually mind. I don’t mind because I’m taking a leap of faith – I’m feeling the best I’ve felt in a VERY long time – possibly even my life. I’ve always been sluggish, I’ve always been a shit morning person, in fact I’m definitely not a morning person. Always sleepy, never the best with my digestive functions. Its normal, bad bowel function and cancer runs in my family – my Mum always said that I would just have to look after myself and my bowels, eat healthy balanced diet and lots of fibre.

Probably when I was about 20, I started to really get a bad reaction to eating pasta and pizza and anything gluten. I have no idea if its attributed to the fact that I worked in a gorgeous family owned Italian restaurant and the family fed me up big time every night with pasta and pizza and everything deliciously bad for you… but I slowly got worse and worse, to the point where eating the smallest amount of bread would cause me to be doubled up in pain, pop out like a pregnant lady with excruciating bloating and inflammation around my middle. Tune and onion began to bloat me – anything largely processed would have a negative affect on me. I’ve never been the biggest clean eating and wellness foodie, BUT when I did give it a go an cleanse and try to flush my system out – there never really seemed to be any extra ordinary, long lasting results.

I’ve broken through that FEAR. I took the leap, and then I got excited (just a little bit). I went along to this thing called a Wellness Wednesday because my best friend and absolute soul sister Anna Ogilvie was going and completely into this Nutritional Cleansing programme called Isagenix – I’d never heard of it, a lot of you would never had heard of it either. I literally went to see her during my long awaited break from the slog and grind of FIFO. I signed up, the pack arrived and I thought amazing – if this helps and helps me loose a little weight for the Bali trips and dreaded bikini exposure then I’m in.

At first I didn’t follow it correctly – But still had some pretty stellar results, I’m not going to put up any before and after pics because right now I’m still not confident enough to throw myself out there. And the increased levels of energy and the lack of bloating is enough to make me happy. I would go on R&R and splurge, leave the vitamins and minerals at work – not thinking AGAIN I really needed to look after my body that much.

BOY was I wrong.  About 6 weeks ago my second 9 day top-up of products arrived in the mail, and I decided to give it a go in all earnest. My beautiful friend Anna was called and advice sought. RIGHT it’s time to get serious about my health, time to get serious about my happiness. I was starting to slowly get sick of constantly feeling tired – the 12-14 hour days working in the Oil and Gas industry whilst Constructing the second largest LNG Plant in Australia were taking its toll. I took control of my body and stuck to the easy routine of vitamins and fibre drinks and shakes. I had a small motivation in a Race Round that was coming up on 17th September…THAT dress was going to look amazing on me, and yes I did spend up BIG on Zhivago, thanks to the beautiful ladies at Chateau Boutique!

The results speak for themselves, I lost 2 kilos, and kept it off. My tummy and abdomen area was so flat and had lost ALL that inflammation!! My motivation was through the Roof, I was excited about my body – even though a small change, it was huge for me, as I haven’t been down to 55Kg in well over a year – I have always fluctuated in weight, but never been able to stabilise it or find the right balance. I can go to sleep now at night without having to toss and turn for a couple of hours to switch my mind off!! I went away and had the BEST time with my beautiful family for a day at the races, eating a 3 course meal, drinking champagne all day and topping it off with 5 slices of pizza at night – after the drunken journey home…. Usually after this type of escapade I would be doubled up in pain, the bloating would be hilarious – 6 months preggers would be an accurate description. THIS TIME – I had minimal bloating, of course I had a little form the crappy Dominoes pizza dough that contains al the nasties out bodies hate. BUT I woke up in the morning with no hangover, no headache from the cheap champagne who’s name we won’t mention starting with a ‘Y’. I was a little tired – BUT OH MY GOD I FELT GOOD!

I then proceeded to spend some quality time with my beautiful girlfriend Anna and really set my goals, get some spark in my soul. NOW I’ve started my journey – the Next Journey of my life, which will NEVER END. I’m going to be healthy for the rest of my life, I’m going to nourish my body and let it live to its fullest potential, no one with negative thoughts or not one toxic particle is going to bring me down….Will I have low days? Fuck yeah – everyone does, but as I get stronger and fitter and healthier and more in love with my life those down days will become a millisecond…. They’ll vanish.

SO Goodbye to the sleepless, unfit, sluggish, cellulite, jelly, bloating, gut pains, bad poos….AND I want you to DO IT WITH ME. I’m giving away a cute little bucket load of gifts ….

MY DEAL – to help you kick start the rest of your life….

…..don’t laugh, I probably would have 2 months ago, but don’t laugh until you’ve tried and walked in my shoes. I want you to join me and the freaking amazing guys and girls that are living healthier more energetic and toxin free lives.

Motivated by Fear

I'm sitting alone, in my lounge room with a stomach twisting on itself, tight and shaky, dancing with nerves and adrenalin. There's no excitement, there's no race start line in sight. There IS an empty house, with blinds flapping wildly in the wind through an open window in the classic 1970's 'fake' back room, where there used to be a per-specs window. Now gone after filthy human beings ripped it off as an easy entrance to smash a back glass door to my house.

Coming home to your house, in particular your own bedroom, ransacked and broken glass littering your entire living room floor with the smell of a foreign stench loitering in the air is up there as a shitty experience with just a few other gut wrenching scenarios. The roller-coaster of emotions that follows will, I doubt, ever get less significant or raw or horrible. Knowing that someone - someones dirty hands - has riffled through your underwear draw, seen the inner sanctum of your home and Ripped it apart, like an animal. AND for WHAT? A few jewels, some outdated technology, and a stack load of memories that won't make said criminal any money, but will fade a little memory of mine. What's the motive? What's the point?

This leads to wild plotting and far fetched storyline's or motives, that can only bring me to one thing. To think that they haven't finished the job they originally came to do, that they'll be back, for whatever they were hungrily searching for - more money making pieces of my memory or even worse ME. It's winter, it's cold, the wind is howling, rain is sporadic, and the house creaks like the 30 year old piece of bricks it is. Excellent backdrop for paranoia of round two being imminent, quickly before the high tech alarm system is installed.

Fear is sliding through my veins and causing a false sense of unhappiness, totally not warranted - what are the odds someone is after me? Should I seriously think about that? No, it'll make it worse, my mere human brain will seek the worst outcome and instil fear to drive that primal survival instinct. Thinking of the escape routes, where to put the kitchen knife when I go to bed, who's going to be on speed dial first - police or mum? Fear is a great motivator of innovation, spear head to survival, this may not be new to some militant groups, army corps or bully's that use fear to manipulate others for self gain. Can we use it in a healthy balanced way? I think so - definitely not tonight though, my imagination is running wild and I am doing to be jumping in bed at every creak.

Fear of losing, fear of disappointing, upsetting, discovering an ugly truth best kept hidden, exposing wounds, pushing too far or too little, not winning his heart, getting caught doing whatever it is you don't want to be caught doing, lying, someone lying to you, not being accepted, failing. However you want to put it, there will always be something that when reaching out or changing courses will hold you back slightly, or even worse A LOT. Fine line between using that fear to get little butterfly wings fluttering in your stomach with excitement and rendering you useless, frozen with pure fear. Then not reaching for your biggest goal or trying to achieve your true potential.

It's ok, I can smell the fear almost in this house tonight, the air is tense, fuck you burglars for making me too scared to sleep in my own bed tonight with no one else in the house. But I'm going to stick two fingers up and sleep with as clear a mind as possible to wake in attack mode. Ready to attack life when the sun is up, with energy to be positive and motivated, not stationary with no saliva in my mouth. Where is playing it safe going to get me? OR you? A nice wardrobe, home of my own at a  young age, mortgage for the next 35 years, new car every 5 years, pool in the backyard, private school for the kids, weeks holiday down south at Easter time, maybe that big month long holiday every now and then that requires saving up for, respect for the $300 gift form the registry at your friends wedding, insurance and private health to protect your loved ones should something outlandish happen. Perhaps a picket fence thrown in there? Yeah, sounds nice, sounds mediocre. Don't bring me back down to earth by saying that the only thing I need is family and friends and love, because YES I totally agree. But the 10 hour days don't leave much time left to enjoy those beautiful things. Stress for that deadline which is reaching someone else's goals won't lengthen your life, laughter at not meeting your own whilst sipping freshly squeezed juice on your balcony over-looking the beach eating breakfast with the whole family at 9am because you can get up whenever the fuck you want WILL.

I'm not waiting until I've stressed and been beaten for 10 years in a job I don't want to sit back and leave work early to enjoy some quality time. I'm going to beat fear in the face with a baton, if I'm strong enough tomorrow, maybe the next day, and fast track the laughter.

Completely Addicted to Zhivago

My " Obsession " this week...

It’s spring racing season and what is more perfect than going to the races dressed in the perfect dress, wearing the STAND out fascinator and turning heads. It’s spring racing fashion that gets my latest attention……..Starts the latest obsession.

This is a good obsession. Is it? I want all obsessions to be this good, good for your state of mind. If they are.

I’m obsessed with the beautiful Timeless Dress from the SS13/14 collection – it’s walking off shelves everywhere – be quick to get your hands on this piece!

Jesinta Campbell is ahhmazing --- makes this dress fall soo sexy. I am not sure how any mere mortal will now live up to this picture.

This got me thinking about obsession, what balances life? It’s such a loosely used term, too much is the word downgraded to a common adjective.

ob·ses·sion [uhb-sesh-uhn]
noun

1. the domination of one's thoughts or feelings by a persistent idea, desire, etc.
2. the idea, image, desire, feeling, etc., itself.
3. the state of being obsessed.

obsession  (əbˈsɛʃən)
- n
psychiatry a persistent idea or impulse that continually forces its way into consciousness, often associated with anxiety and mental illness.
a persistent preoccupation, idea, or feeling

Coming from:
1510s, "action of besieging," from L. obsessionem, noun of action from obsidere (see obsess). Later, "hostile action of an evil spirit" (like possession but without the spirit actually inhabiting the body). Transferred sense of "action of anything which engrosses the mind"

I don’t really know if I want to go into the darker side – every human has their vice, who is to judge? No one. Who is to say you can’t? Do that? Do this? When does it become unhealthy….. when it’s unbalanced? Best and only taken advice from one of my Nanna’s – everything in moderation, nothing is bad for you until you have too much of one thing. I almost wrote just then that an exception to this is WATER, but wait,  you can have to much of water, you can drown yourself. Everything we do in life has the capacity to drown you, one way or another.

Give yourself something; indulge in the amazing, the want - but spread the obsession, feed the hunger with many virtues.

Let your mind be engrossed with the positive, live and let live, don’t die of profligacy.
